The Edward M. McAleer Jr. Innovation and Excellence Award for Administrators/Staff

Nominees will be administrators/staff who have demonstrated innovation and excellence in programming, partnership, support services, and/or redefining the role and potential of the work of extended education, significantly increasing campus capacity to better serve adults/midcareer professionals, the unemployed, underemployed, active duty military and their families, veterans; employers, state agencies, workforce boards, and the community. 


Administrators/staff who have contributed to innovation in programming and excellence in practice, in the work of the CSU extended education at the campus, community and/or system levels. Please note: Nominations must be submitted by the campus president or provost.

Only one award may be given in each category, but it may not be awarded in years in which no nominee fully meets the standards and criteria of the award.

The nomination process starts by completing an online application through InfoReady Review™. The online application will be available Fall 2018.

Each applicant requires at least one, but no more than two letters of support (2 pages or less, each), and must be submitted by the president or provost electronically.

Applications must be received on or before Friday, December 15, 2017 as the InfoReady Review™ system will be closed for further nominations. Nominations received on or before the deadline through InfoReady Review™ will be reviewed by the 2017-18 Innovation Awards Committee.

The awards are designed to be given once per year. The review committee is tentatively scheduled to meet in February 2018. Finalists are confirmed by commissioners at the spring 2018 business meeting.
