This award is intended to facilitate research, scholarship, and creative activities during the academic year by supporting an outstanding student-faculty collaboration. The award covers a wide variety of projects, from scientific research to artistic interpretation to social service projects. Funds may be used by the campus department toward the purchase of supplies, student scholarships and/or development activities.
The program is open to student and faculty collaborators or to students and faculty mentors across academic disciplines. Funded projects should show direct educational benefits to students and faculty, should be discipline appropriate, and demonstrate innovation. Students must be currently enrolled in an extended education course or program at a CSU campus.
Any eligible individual can apply, but nominations must be submitted by the campus president or provost. Only one award may be given in each category, but it may not be awarded in years in which no nominee fully meets the standards and criteria of the award.
The nomination process starts by completing an online application through InfoReady Review™. The online application will be available Fall 2018.
Each applicant requires at least one, but no more than two letters of support (2 pages or less, each), and must be submitted by the president or provost electronically.
