In March, Dr. Jeet Joshee received the California State University (CSU) Commission on the Extended University Edward M. McAleer Jr. Excellence and Innovation Award.

Recognizing his demonstrated ability to innovate in ways that have led to increasing excellence at CSULB, the review committee honored Dr. Joshee in an intimate, private gathering with a letter of recognition from the chair of the CSU Commission on the Extended University, a personalized plaque, and a $1,000 honorarium which he donated to the President's Scholars Program at CSULB.

CSULB President, Jane Close Conoley, and David Dowell, the Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, both submitted letters of recommendation outlining the ways in which Dr. Joshee skillfully oversees one of the largest continuing education programs in the state. "Dr. Joshee leads the charge in working to develop and implement innovative programs, well-aligned partnerships, and strategic initiatives, both enhancing, and in some cases shifting, the university's methodology and offerings," said Dowell.
