Subcommittees and Charges

 

Edward M. McAleer Jr., Excellence and Innovation Awards:

To review the nominations of faculty, staff, and administrators and recommend a nominee for review and approval by the full commission for the Edward M. McAleer, Jr. Excellence and Innovation Awards. 


Finance:

To provide recommendations to the Commission on cost recovery/financial matters including the assistant vice chancellor and dean’s office, the Commission, special projects and the annual RFP. Additionally, the committee reviews the monthly and annual reports provided by the Chancellor’s Office. 


Innovation:

To foster innovation among the CSU units of extended learning. To research and disseminate innovations happening among CSU units of extended learning. 


Innovation Grants (RFP Proposal Review and Oversight):

To guide and direct the annual Request for Proposals (RFP) process, to include: (1) review and revision of request guidelines; (2) creation of process timeline; (3) proposal solicitation; (4) review of proposals; (5) funding recommendations; (6) award and non-award letters to campuses; (7) review/approval project extension requests; (8) review/approval of mid-year and final project reports. 


Policies & Procedures:

Periodically review and make recommendations to the Commission for changes in the CSU policies and procedures which govern the missions, functions, responsibilities, and financial operations of Continuing and Extended Education units. 


Strategic Communications:

To promote proactive involvement, recognition, and representation of Extended Education and the CSU Commission on the Extended University in the broad range of CSU activities that have expanded, are expanding, and/or could expand access to the excellence that is the CSU through the multitude of credit and non-credit education and training activities the CSU Extended University has the expertise to provide to multiple local, regional, state, national and international audiences.
